Yeah, I was confused by that comment too. If you aren't mashing the pedal to the floor, and you want to go faster, the easiest fix is to mash the pedal to the floor. It won't hurt a thing, at all.

Honestly, there's not a lot you can do for that powertrain short of supercharging it. Exhaust might gain you 15 or 20 hp, which might gain you a few MPH....
