One thing to keep in mind.... A lighter capacity axle may not mean you are actually saving much weight.

thanks man!!! so you think it would work out to turn it in to a 4x4? im not going to build it out with cabinets just keep it simple....do you know any one that makes a lighter front end using a 9in...

It's pretty much the same as the Mustang engine. They seem to hold up just fine at even 500+ HP.

I say try it. You could always rent a U-haul E250 for a day (those all have the 4.6L) and load it up, and see if performance is acceptable to YOU.

And... for that cheap.... if you decide later the...
