Good thread. Made me measure my fan, something I have wanted to do for a number of years. Have not looked at Fantastic Vents in 10+ years but pics of current ones indicate a more low profile motor....

You keep mentioning "lower profile" do you have any dimension information? Fantastic Vent offers both flat or arched dome lids.

Have had Fantastic Vents for 30+ years and they have worked fine. I do prefer the 10 speed over the 3 speed because of the reduced current draw. Not sure what you are talking about when you say...
