True, there is some movement from the actuator bar that could cause a issue, but might be able to clear it with a shallow head bolt from the inside out.

Yes, Covered it would only be producing 150watts (one panel worth). It won't lower the output of the other panel, its wired parallel. When Uncovered its 300w. I will only be using this when stopped...
