Do you mean you are thinking of making your own version but with more flange/area for bedding and/or tape? That's where the design lost me - that thin "rim" just didn't inspire confidence for either...

I'm sure the SCT/NOCT stuff explains why my 130W panel only puts out about 7 amps in full sun. 7X12 is nowhere near 130W.

I think something that may get overestimated at times is the power/amp-hr capacity of the house batteries.

It doesn't take much to deplete them sometimes, and a 400ah battery setup has...
