Better regulators and components. There is a reason military vehicle components are rated as such. It's up to you if you feel high tech options are worth their value.

I'd rather have one high tech alternator over stock twin alternators on a Ford because of the heat alone much less the better regulator but a Sprinter is a different beast. It might be an option....

Maybe post up in the Sprinter section. There might be some Sprinter owners who frequent that section more than the rest of the site. I agree, it seems high.

My solar (twin 135 panels) generally has my two 4D batteries up to par by 9-10AM in good sun. I see about 10 amps in standard sunlight. Alternators don't top off batteries but puts them close. A...
