Did you go to the link I provided? Most of the info you're asking about is there.

The converter is tied into the AC system only. It keeps the 12vDC system from taking power out of the house...

I'd call SMB on Monday and see what they installed. If it's a new build the inverter should be on the work order. Just as a heads up, SMB west told me they are phasing out the Prosine 2.0 2000w...

Usually a 3-4Kw generator will run most small RV type air conditionars. To run something with that kind of load you would need a huge battery bank and then some hefty equipment and the time to...

Thats a converter not an inverter. From my quick search it does not produce AC power.

Also some people just purchase a smaller inverter that plugs into a 12vDC outlet which powers small AC devices...the outlets in the van are only used when on shore power.

The inverter powers from the house batteries...are you sure you have an inverter? Some vans have a AC to DC converter/charger to power 12 vDC items off shore power and charge the house batteries....

Do you have a voltage indicator or voltmeter? Check to make sure you didn't loose power at the shore power plug...some of the people are loosing the house GFI not the Vans GFI. Check the Vans GFI on...
