The trailer is narrower than the van and not very heavy (~1500#) and since I have an EB, the trailer seems not to track to the inside of the van tracks. Three point switchbacks could be a challenge,...

Your experience with 2 flats justifies my dragging the SMB trailer along. The trailer has two wheels/tires that match the van. If I have to, I can have 3 spares. Then I can either drag the trailer...
