I have a set of cables in my van. Never used them, never plan on using them. But, sometimes in the winter the Rangers won't let you into Yosemite without chains for your vehicle.

Angel,

If you haven't taken the Cassiar Highway, it is highly recommended! It is mostly a well maintained gravel road. Gravel is much better than pavement in the snow. Plus, you can take the Hyder...

I don't need to experience temps below 0 anymore. And especially not temps below -30. I don't think my SMB is insulated well enough.

Glad to hear Angel is having a good time. Happy I was able to give her some ideas of places to visit, but as far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong in Alaska. Well, maybe it wouldn't be such a good...
