Both for aesthetics and I think it would be much safer, especially if someone had a bike carrier or something in the trailer hitch. Those bumper mounted brake/turn signals could easily be obscured.

Agree. Seems like a stop-gap to keep the E-series conversion line going without investing in much R&D. Reasonable short term solution, but it just kicks the can down the road as far as finding a real...
