For roof mounted installations, Fantastic Fan says their tops can be left open. Of course, that's with the hinge side pointed toward the front, into the wind.

With any of those fan mounting locations, some extra care needs to take place to make sure the lid on the fan is closed while driving. It may not be very likely, but some of those rearward locations...

I'm on the fence about the Buy It Now price. Seems a bit optimistic. If it was a V10, then maybe.

That Fantastic Fan in the rear door is very interesting, as is the powered passenger seat lift....
