I agree with Lake Hill Road. But note that you cannot drive more than about one van length off it anywhere along its length now. Still worth it after a dinner stop nearby; quiet and little to no...

Truck campers can be nice, but also kind of wobbly offroad unless you get like the Four Wheel Camper types. The ones that go on a flatbed type chassis are really nice; more room.

I dunno about...

I'm not sure of what charging parameters the Renogy likes. They should supply you with that info. Then what to do next depends on how you charge your battery: solar? alternator? shore? Many devices...

I got tired of the outside light on my van...it blinded me every time I approached the van, so what was the point? dunno about new vans, but in 2001 they put them pretty high. Not to mention such a...

I don't recall that the 1250 required a setting for the battery capacity, but it certainly does for type. And if your battery bank is as you say, both lithium and AGM, I don't think this would work...

I considered just doing a drop in, as per Battle Born's specs. But I too was a bit concerned about the alternator, my aging isolator, and even the wiring. That led me to think of a new isolator, etc,...

There are lots of competitors out there now, and before buying call them for tech support...if you can. Unlike with lead acid most of the...

Sheesh, that's cheating, no? :n5:

Battle Born and I think ReLion sell warmers as well. I would think they don't draw that much, and as I think you can effectively discharge at lower temps than...

Battery monitor recommendations?

I have a Link 10 (now made by Xantrex, if made at all; mine was before Xantrex bought them). It seems to have broken (keeps showing like 2.x or 6.x volts when connected; previously showed correct...

Norcold freezer and laws of thermodynamics

I've read that it's best to keep a refer full of cold items (and obviously buy already chilled stuff before putting it in). The idea being that there is more cold mass and heat coming in gets...

At most I could get it to 12.58 via my plug-in AC Schumacher charger (yes, a multistage charge with desulfation).

As I noted the alternator works fine; it puts out enough current to supply 35amps...

Starter battery question

I've got a five year old Odyssey Extreme starter battery; it's an AGM 950CCA, group 65. In an E250 gas engine van.

It seems kind of weak; first noticed starting in about 25 degrees F back in May....
