2000 EB on EBay

This one looks interesting to me. What's the consensus on a 14-year-old van with only 20+k miles? That's a lot of idle time and I've heard that sitting can be as detrimental to a vehicle as being driven hard.

The downside of eBay is the pressure to make a quick decision. Looks like a no reserve auction, otherwise I'd say let the auction play out and then go look at it in person when it doesn't sell. Are you within driving distance to check it out?

Though I've bought one vehicle on eBay, sight-unseen, I wouldn't recommend it.

Not within driving distance. It's a no reserve, so when it ends, it ends...unless the high bidder flakes which never happens on eBay. :a2:

I figured I'd throw my best price up there and see what happens, which comes back to my original question; low miles but lots of sitting. Pro or con?

If you are serious about it, and ask nicely, maybe there is someone local to the SMB that can check it out for you. Just remember, that if you are fortunate to get someone to volunteer to check it out, they're doing it on their own time and likely aren't auto mechanics, so no guarantees that they would find anything/everything wrong with it.

So, anyone in the Oakland/Antioch area willing to look at this for a prospective buyer? Like the previous post mentioned, I'm not gonna hold anyone liable, but it'd be good to get "boots on the ground" as it were.
