Hello

Today, I was washing the top of the pop-top of a 2001 SMB Ford E250.

While washing, for the first time I noticed the pop-top having black spots; they are rough shallow dents to the touch.

How I can DIY repair?

Thank you

Thank you, this is a great suggestion.

I live in Seattle, it is late Fall and it rains a lot. Unfortunately, I do not have covered space for keeping the pop-top dry for a minimum of 12 hours to allow proper curing.

Applying Monstaliner in rainy weather is strongly discouraged; you should not attempt to install Monstaliner if it is raining as the coating will not properly adhere to a wet surface and will likely result in a poor finish; if rain is expected, park your vehicle indoors and wait until conditions are dry before applying the product.

Post-application drying time:
Even after application, ensure the coated area remains dry for a minimum of 12 hours to allow proper curing.

Mechanically remove the mildew / mold (stiff brush, pressure washer, plastic scraper, etc) then wax the surface. Gelcoat is porous and the spores grow in the microscopic depressions that hold dirt and water, so you need to fill them up. Wax will do that, so will a light wetsanding (900 to 1200 grit wet and dry paper) then a good surface treatment. I sanded mine then painted it with Easypoxy paint, no issues since then.
