Good afternoon,

We are considering selling our 2012 Sprinter 2500 Sportsmobile. Pictures are below, mileage is approximately 49,000 but it is a daily driver for me so the mileage will increase a little bit. It has a bench seat in back that lays down into a bed, two captain chairs and the electric Pop-Top to sleep up top. We currently sleep our family of 5 in it but with a 4th on the way, I think we are outgrowing it quickly unfortunately. It has a refrigerator, microwave, new house batteries, AC system that runs great, Aluminess Nerf Bars, and a cabinet for a cassette toilet but we haven’t installed one. Asking $55,000 but am willing to hear offers and input on price. Thanks for looking. Located in Memphis, TN.

I’m sorry that you have to sell but I think that’s a very attractive price. If you don’t mind, I’m going to post it in another forum I’m in. Best of luck with the sale! I can’t imagine you’ll have to wait long for a buyer.

Thank you Otter. We are excited for a fourth boy in the family and I am sure we will be finding an alternative to the Sportsmobile in the future. It was tight with our three young boys but it sure was fun. Hopefully it will serve someone else well in the near future.

Chargersflyer? I'm guessing on your username but would that be Southaven Chargers by chance? I guess I am one, or was one, but haven't thought about it in 30 years. Just curious.

Bump to the top. After holding on to it for the winter and using it as a daily driver, we have decided to go ahead and sell it. Last time we took it out to the state park, mama slept in the tent with us instead of the van so I’m sure somebody else will get better use out of it. Still listing at 55K. Van is located in Memphis, TN and is going to the local Tag Truck center tomorrow for an oil change, etc. Mileage is around 52,000. Let me know if you have any questions. Also, I’m considering taking it to Sportsmobile Texas to sell and last they told me is they would list it at 65K to start.

Price drop to $51,500.

Oil and filter were just changed and a Nox sensor replaced. We just had an ice storm in Memphis and the weather or work schedule don’t look good for getting it down to Austin for another couple weeks.

We have visited Sportsmobile TX and they are indeed jammed up with a few used units and a bunch of new vans waiting for conversion work to start. We are following your saga as we will eventually have our current unit to sell. good luck!

Ashley at SportsmobileTX has been great and very responsive. I tried the IN location but they aren’t putting vehicle on their lot to sell right now. Fortunately, we aren’t in a big hurry to sell and because of that I haven’t been listing it anywhere else or putting much effort into the sale. We just used it for a family road trip and it was great for that and I will probably take the boys camping a few more time with it this season unless a buyer jumps on it. Good luck with your sale too when the time comes.

What engine in this this van? Does the rear bench fold down into bed? Can you post more photos? the attachments you placed in an earlier post were not photos but rather documents of something else. Thanks

Van is East of Dallas for the weekend. A quick family trip for Easter. Headed back to Memphis on Monday. This van as is RWD with the 3.0L Turbo Diesel V6 engine. Just completed the MB Sprinter recall that replaced the a lot of the exhaust system parts that caused issues at time with these vans. The rear bench folds down into a bed and the biggest drawback I think to the van may be the lack of sink, it worked for our purposes because we mainly stayed at state or national parks when we would take an adventure. It has 2 house batteries and an inverted to run the systems when shore power isn’t available.
