I'm about 20 miles south of Knoxville Tn. You are probably about 2 hours northeast of me if you are in the vicinity of Grandfather Mountain. My wife's mother lives very close to where you are now.

Are you off of a side road/trail to Black Balsam Knob Road?

Thanks LenS. It's a paved side road of the Blue Ridge Parkway, about 1.8 miles long. So really easy to access to.
