Awning Z-Brackets - Next Batch

I am interested.
I bought a ford E-350 today with a Colorado camper pop top.
What awning would you recommend and what brackets would I need from you?

Dannymags - I have sets available right now.

With any pop top your pretty much limited to a gutter mounting system vs a roof rack. That is where the Z Brackets come in. The awning must have legs to support the extension off the van since the gutter is not strong enough for a legless style.

There are a few threads on the pros/cons of ARB/CVT style vs Fiamma F45s. My recommendation, if cost is acceptable, is the Fiamma F45s 10ft.

Use a search engine w search words “Sportsmobileforum.com which awning”. It will give you a result with a bunch of threads for your reading pleasure!

I have sets available right now.

Hopefully this is still the case! Ive been searching high and low for an option like this before I drilled (more) into my body/top. Google to the rescue! Please dont fault me, mines not a sportsmobile. But my money is just as green!

I read you take Venmo. LMK your username in PM, didn't see it.

Hey,

I see that this is an older post but I need to try to get a hold of a set of these for a Fiamma awning. Is it too late? Additionally, I would like to try to mount a road shower and it looks like these would work as well. If they do, I would like to see if I could get two sets, somehow. Could you point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Mike

Okay! Good news, we were able to find a new CNC shop to do the cutting and bending. Downside is it costs more. But at least we are able to build more sets.

New batch of ~ 22 sets should ready in about three weeks. So, if you want a set please get your payment in ASAP. Three black powder coated brackets and stainless hardware for mounting to the gutter. Your awning should contain the hardware for mounting the awning to the brackets. Price for a bracket set is now $212 including postage via USPS.

If you want a Fiamma Awning please let me know, I might be able to save you some money.

Payment for brackets is via PayPal using the Friends and Family payment portal. I consider all of us on the forum as friends. Payment to searay230@gmail.com - include your shipping and contact info in the Comments section. Thxs!

Okay!!! Z Awning Brackets got the Econoline vans are back in stock.

All the open orders I had have been shipped and emails sent with tracking #’s and installation instructions. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not see it. Emails were sent to your PayPal account email address.

Let me know if interested in a set and/or a Fiamma awning. Bracket sets are $212 inc. postage, and F45s 10ft awnings are $880 plus shipping.

Thxs!

Hi Ray,

You and I have been in contact via text as well but I am posting here for reference to others who may have the same question.

I just ordered an ARB awning, 2000x2500. Will your brackets fit on this van for that application? My concern is the lack of space with the large windows and the close proximity of the top to the gutter.

Brackets work on window/passenger vans just fine. The brackets do not touch the windows. There needs to be about 5/8” of visible gutter inboard of the gutter lip. If the pop top extends to the lip then this presents an issue.

Re:ARB Awning - yes, this awning can be mounted to the brackets. Quite a number of people have mounted their ARB/CVT. To mount the awning T track, you will drill a hole in each bracket to receive the T bolt stud. You will not use the bend at the top which is designed for the Fiamma F45s. I can go over this in more detail on the phone.

Ray, i just ordered the 23Zero Peragrin shower enclosure. I would think your Z brackets would be perfect for mounting it. How do I arrange purchase?

That shower enclosure unit looks pretty cool, if will be interesting to see how this works out!

Ray -- I have a hightop from a conversion van company -- it seems there is some rain gutter exposed, but not much. Would posting a picture be enough for you to tell me if your brackets would fit my van?

I'm going with an ARB 2500 awning -- I'm thinking of just mounting it directly to the fiberglass topper, since I'm on a bit of a budget, but definitely like the idea of using your brackets if they're an option.

Fiamma is way out of the price range for now -- that'll be on van 3.0.

Ray, Thinking about putting a solar shower setup on the drivers side of my RB 350 crew(window) van Sportsmobile pop top. I have a Fiamma F45S awning on the other side with 3 brackets. I think I saw in post #312 that your brackets are the same and will work on a passenger van? (Rob in Santa Rosa).

Hi Rob, I have had many people ask about putting solar shower tubes on the brackets.

I have been reluctant to say yes because the shower tubes have a different type of load than an awning. Awning is static while a partially filled shower has sloshing water. How many gallons are you looking at for your shower? Also, has consideration been given to the shading a pop top will create relative to the tube?

The brackets fit passenger and cargo Econolines.

Thxs!

Hi Ray, I’m also looking for a set of brackets for a 8’ ARB awning, are you still shipping those out? Thanks!

Ray, I just sent payment for a set of brackets, do you have a current batch you are selling or do we need to wait for another round to be manufactured? Thanks!
