I've been looking for an opportunity to get to Big Bear. I propose Labor Day Weekend.

I've got an '09 with the "SMB New" set-up. Who's in?

I will be further down the mountain camping but was thinking of doing Clarks Grade. I tried to do it on Memorial Day but it was closed.

It starts in Seven Oaks and ends up in Big Bear.

Sounds like you know way more about the area than I do (never been there). I am VERY interested in wheeling with someone that's been there before.

I'm also open to any suggestions about where to camp.

Sorry gents. Looks like I am going to have to bail on my own idea. We just got back from a month on the road from coast to coast in the van with the entire family. Things have piled up at home. Under threat of bodily harm, I am committed to addressing the issues before tossing everyone back into the van. :b8:

Oh, trip report: If you want to camp/off-road all the way across the country with four kids (two under three years old), you need waaaaaay more than a month. :b7:
