I made a quick trip over to Zion National Park to enjoy the beautiful pre-Spring scenery. I was going to stay for three days but a problem at home called me back to Vegas after one night. In just one day I saw four other Sportsmobiles in Zion. We could have held a Meet and Greet.

Rather than repost the pictures here, please look in my gallery for pictures of the trip.

Thanks for sharing. I have never been to Zion or any park in Utah but want to go now! Would love to make a Zion/Moab trip and do some mtn biking. This is on my short list of "to do's".

Don't count on doing any mountain biking in Zion. The only place to ride is a short trail or the roads.

Lots of great hiking however. And I don't count Angels Landing as a great hike, only as a chore. Hike up onto the West Rim or Observation Point instead.

I done the majority of National Parks and personally think Utah has the best, also helps that a few of them have some great off-road trails, If you go to Moab make sure you do Canyonlands and Arches.

Thanks for sharing Mac! This brought back memories of our first trip to Zion, thought I would track down the photos to share. This was during the same time of year in 2005, and a little more moist.

1st picture is of my then girlfriend (read now wife) taking a short cut:

2nd picture is a wide angle of her short cut (nobody else was willing to follow):

CascadeWalnut:

What amazing pictures of Middle Emerald Pools. I've never seen that much water there. I think your wife is either very brave or very unwise (i.e.: stupid) in crossing that water. One slip and she would have been bathing in the Lower Emerald Pools. The things people do when they are young! I remember those days.
