At this time the owner of the site is not issuing vendor tags. You can ask if you'd like by using the contact us link button at the bottom of the page.

Full Circle

Hi Dave,

I clicked on Contact Us per your suggestion. Here's the response I got (see below) - it seems we've gone full circle because they are suggesting I contact someone on the Site Team - that's where I started. Is this a dead end inquiry?

I'll look into it again. Even with a vendor tag you're still under the same rules. A tag just let's others know you are a business or member selling something on a Comercial basis.

Just curious but what are you offering? There is absolutely no information in you member profile as to what you do, where you live and so on…? It would be awesome to let members know in your profile like a website and so on… Just my 2 cents. Having such vague information in your profile probably isn't helping much.

Since I wasn't sure how the commercial membership worked and thinking there might be a whole other profile to complete I was reluctant to spend any time on the personal profile until I found out more. Is there a separate profile for the commercial membership?

Since this forum is really community based (although we are all over the country) it might be worth doing (completing your profile), nothing will change from being a regular member, hobby vender or commercial vender other than a tag below your name… there is no separate profile for a commercial vender.

This is a really awesome group of van lovers and lots of great resources. Just being involved is probably all that is really needed, so it may take sometime to create some rapport. Hopefully you'll get it sorted out, but being involved in the forum is crucial. Again just my 2cents.

The intent of the commercial badge on an account is to let forum members know that a member may have a commercial interest in posting. It can also be a good way to let folks know that the vendor may have some expertise on a topic. That said, it's not a license to advertise or market to the forum. The commercial badge is intended for regularly participating forum members who have a business venture that is related to Sportsmobiles and their use..
