I know I wasn't the only one having problems with Expo Portal over the last couple of days. Looks like they migrated to a new server and made a few tweaks.

Biggest change/impact seems to be "Also the forum has moved to being a subdomain, forum.expeditionportal.com rather than expedition.com/forum so bookmarks are out of date."

Anyway, this is the thread I found over there that that explained what was going on: https://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/were-back-test.239673/

Mods: If this isn't an appropriate place for this post, please move it over to Campfire section.

I noticed yesterday most of their google results were giving me 404 errors. This explains it.

I despise when forums do this. It tends to break every link, which is incredibly infuriating when you find a different forum post that says "I found a solution in this thread..."

Yep, agree. Didn't see any notification. Also, since I started two step verification a month or two ago, that isn't working (no email being sent) and I can't log on.

I noticed a post the other day that said the site would be down for 24 hours for maintenance. I noticed it hasn't come back up. This would explain why I guess.

I just got on, I don't see anything different now that I know how to log on.

I haven’t been able to login over there for a few days. When I try it says I need to accept cookies. But there’s nowhere for me to do that on their site, and on my browser it says cookies allowed. Why would they go and mess with a good thing?? Lame.

That's the same problem I was having.

If you're going to the forums from a saved link, that is likely the problem.

Old link BAD: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/

New link GOOD: https://forum.expeditionportal.com/

Hope this helps.

Thanks Joe but it even happens when I go to the new link.

They have an ‘accept cookies’ link for Safari users. But I use Brave so I haven’t been able to come up with a workaround.

Tapatalk has these glitches periodically. Their tech support is less than stellar. ExPortal always seems to be the loser.

Glad it is working for you all, the two step verification is still not working for me.

Still can’t log on, the two step verification doesn’t send an email with the code. I inquired and did get a reply with no solution. That led to a pending request to remove the extra verification. Inquired a week ago, still waiting for the pending request.

Weird Chris. I logged on about a day after it went down with my previous password, etc. and no problems.

Yep.

I signed up for the extra step, that extra step works on the site when I log in, but the system is not sending me the email with the code. The site takes my user ID and password no problem and then takes me to the screen to enter the code. I just don't receive the code.

I sent one of the mods I know over there a message asking for help for you. I'll let you know what he says.

Sorry you are still having issues. I just waited a couple of days for them to get the bugs worked out, and I was able to log back on with no problems. Hope you are able to figure it out.
