Greetings all. Now that I'm in my 70s, I've sworn off tent camping. I have a 2024 Transit 350 AWD high roof on order through SMD North. It will be used primarily as a touring van and secondarily to tow my TJ when I go wheeling.

I've been reading the various threads and it appears the vast majoring of inmates here are west of the Mississippi. I live in western MD and avoid urban centers at all costs :n5:

I look forward to learning about these rigs from you.

Welcome. Western MD is the only MD in my opinion. :D

There are a few of us in the east. Greetings from TN.

:b5:

Good to see the East coast is gaining traction! This inmate is on the East Coast of MD, but occasionally my Job's probation officer grants me a short furlough.

Felix, I should add that I've never spent time in Annapolis but I've heard great things about it from you. Generally, like a lot of places, there are a lot more people in the east side of the state and the misanthrope in me steers the opposite way. Western MD is, IMO, pretty much just northern WV, which is quiet and wild.......in my limited experience.

I agree, We make a conscious effort to steer clear of crowds & tall buildings. :d3:

Also East Coast here... SE PA.

So if you talk about A/C being a requirement, you won't always get the blank stare as the west-coasters can give you...

:b1:

I currently have an older E350, but an extended, hi-roof Transit is on the long-term want list.

Welcome. I spend time between VA and FL. Mostly VA these days, either NoVA or Williamsburg. Currently on a long trip out west and north.

There are a few east coasters.

We have a 2017 Transit which SMB North outfitted for us.. We live in Massachusetts and have put 90k miles on our van. We've camped up and down the east coast and the south but also visited many the western national parks. I'm sure you'll enjoy new baby as much as we have.

thanks! Our first real trip is to Nova Scotia fall of 2025. We'll wave as we drive through :n5:

We're in the "east" . . . uhhhh, Eastern California that is!

Welcome to the Sportsmobile General Population!
