Gallery Issues

We had some issues after the server move with the gallery. We believe we got all the issues fixed but it would be appreciated if you check your photos and make sure everything looks okay.

Also, there were 4 people who tried to load photos yesterday. We've contacted you to let you know the Gallery didn't accept your photos. You will need to re-upload them. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Andy, reviewed my gallery and discovered 1 image missing. Other than that everything else successfully transferred.

I checked my gallery and also have one image missing. It's the one I most recently uploaded (but it was before the forum change announcement) and was used in a recent thread on blocks (where it did show up correctly at the time of posting). It was a photo of an SMB wheel with a stack of Lynx blocks under it. It wasn't a cherished image or anything, but figured you might want to know for troubleshooting purposes.

Hi Andy,

I've lost 23 images from my gallery. The Gallery badge at the bottom of each of my posts shows 66, but my gallery only has 43. Funny thing is, it shows 6 pages, but the 5th and 6th simply say "There are no images in this album."

Don't remember exactly what the photos were, and not sure if there are dead links in any of my posts.

I also show a loss of 24 pictures , same thing, the last two pages are empty. It looks like at least one of the ones I think is missing is still correctly linked in the post.

Could you post a link of where it shows you the 24 photos are missing?

This post has what I think is a dead link to a lost image. Rockbender's gallery says it has 123 pictures, but there are only 122 there.

There's also a bunch of dead links in this post. And yup, five pictures missing from rionapo's gallery.

Thanks. I wish I knew what happened here, but I do not. I can only assume the database dump itself was incomplete somehow. I re-imported the data from the old database on the old server and everything came back up. It just doesn't make much sense. It is highly improbable that the backup would end like that without making the entire backup FUBAR. Well, let's see how this goes.

The PHPBB gallery software is a bit challenging, but we are getting there.

Those galleries will need to be uploaded again, sorry. We restored to the last known good setup.

Image counts have been recalculated. I had to write up a custom script to do it.

Sorry about the issues everyone. The gallery is obviously a very important feature and making sure all the photos are properly saved and backed up is important. It looks like we have confirmed that the photos loaded to the old server have been accounted for and the gallery is working now. Unfortunately the photos loaded yesterday and today did not survive and need to be re-uploaded.

PLEASE, if you have not checked out your gallery, do so ASAP. We feel confident all the photos made it over but we need your help. If you find any issues please report them here.

Thanks for checking on my gallery Andy.
I was able to upload to my gallery. Original gallery in my draft was still in tact :l1: .
Attachments are still not working FYI.
