'O3 E350 4X4 Sportsmobile with an attitude. To recap: My van has been overheating but the events over the past several months can only be understood in the context of a range of phenomenon described in quantum mechanics. I did everything I could to prove the problem with overheating was due to the van's emotional instability but failed. Looks more like a cracked head than a blown head gasket.

I've been forced to concede my defeat and will drop my van off at a shop that will transplant a rebuilt engine into the engine bay. Cost??? $10,200.

Donations will be appreciated.

Yeah, sorry to hear as well. Having gone through this 2 years ago and a lot more than $10k I feel your pain.

Wish you the best.

Sorry to hear that. We had a similar problem two years ago in our 1993 E250 SMB. You don't say what engine you're running. Ours was a 5.4L / Windsor gasser. We had a Jasper reman installed which cost us $7k. I'm sure that you had the same mental process... Older van with blown engine is basically worthless. Van with reman engine is revitalized for use or sale.
We're glad that we replaced ours.
