My '07 E350 Sportsmobile's odometer and radio clock are getting really dim. They work fine and the dimmer on the headlight switch works, but those two displays are not bright enough to see in daylight.
Are there any bulbs that can be replaced to brighten things up? I know that there are instrument cluster repair shops, but was hoping to do it myself.

Anyone done this that can post some help?

Mine are dim too and I hate it. I usually drive with the running lights on to brighten up the displays.

Unfortunately I disconnected my warning chime because I absolutely hate them so I accientally leave the lights on all the time when I turn the van off.

It's a problem.

This qualifies as a 'sign', suggest an appointment with a Medical professional...early detection works to your favor. :bounce:

Thanks gahamby, I did check the grounds. Always at the top of my list with electrical issues. No joy there.

I read somewhere that the numbers are LCD and illuminated with LEDs. I'm sure that the LCD part is right, but were they using LEDs back in '07?
I'm pretty sure that the LCDs need to be backlit so maybe the backlights need to be replaced? Whatever type they are.
More digging, more info....
