We've been working on ordering/buying/designing/locating/acquiring a new 4x4 144 low roof since May 2016 and it may finally become a reality. As anyone who's gone through this journey, it's a trying one for sure. Our goal was to have one by May 2018 for our Summer trip. Fast forward Jan 2018 and we were still 11 in cue to be ordered from the MB dealer. That obviously wasn't going to happen for a May delivery so we searched HARD and found a 4x4 that was sitting at a dealer, go figure.
Working on financing this week then hopefully they will start cutting asap. Our build includes a pop-top, platform bed, MB bench seat for passengers (daughter and friends), sink, fridge, porta potti, outdoor shower, heater and AC.
I value all of the insight this forum provides, thanks for all of the contributions!
