Is this new? I have gone for months, maybe even years at a time and I just click and enjoy the latest on the forum. I've been doing this every day or two for several years now.

The last week or so every time I pull up the forum I have to log in. Am I alone?

Mine "resets" occasionally also - but I think it has more to do with my Computer. Every time I manually "clear" my history it wipes out all my saved passwords, and have to sign-in again on all apps.

Are you checking the "remember me" box in the sign-in process?

It's a new requirement for all forum members who don't actually own Sportsmobiles, let alone vans.

Just kidding. I don't know what the issue is.

Change your browser setting to allow cookies from this site, and it should keep you signed in for the most part. I only get booted about once every 3 months (probably whenever the cookie expires). Depending on the browser you use, you'll do this in either the cookie/privacy setting, or the "trusted sites" menu. Also make sure you aren't using a private/incognito window if you want to stay signed in.

Lol Herb. You're probably right. Maybe I should just buy another van. It may be easier than understanding the internet.

Thanks for the tips guys. I have done all of that. Still, I just had to sign in yet again. It's not even saving my password anymore (Chrome) but all the other login sites I use are working normally.

Hmmmm.

Suggestions:
1. Make sure that you are allowing cookie exchange with the site (browser setting). We use cookies to keep you logged in at page changes.

2. Next time you login, tick the tiny "remember me" box on the login screen.

3. If that doesn't work look in your browser settings for stored password info. here's where it would be stored in chrome: chrome://settings/passwords You should see an option to: Offer to save passwords. See if it's set to on and change if desired..

Funny!
I started reading and thought, "What is he saying..." Oh. Got it.

The login is, I believe, a preference setting.
I peak at the link once a week and rarely log in unless I want to make a reply.

Your browser should be able to save your passwords for a site. Use Chrome and ask them to save the credentials once you've logged in, usually shows at top of the browser towards right.

Yes, of course, but that doesn't change the fact that you can go a year or more on this site never having to re-sign in and then all of a sudden you'll have to sign in every time (like multiple times daily) for a week or so, then it goes back to normal.

Cheers to you as well, sir!

Upon returning to this forum a couple of times today, I think I see what you mean though... it's a bit of work.

I had an issue the other day when I was replying to a thread.

Took my time, thought it out, edited my response and hit post.

Well, page had been static for too long or something so when everything refreshed I was now logged out. When I immediately logged back in my response was gone. I did not re-write it and moved on...until now :)
