I've owned my 2009 (2010 conversion) Frieghtliner Sprinter Sportsmobile for about 5 years now. Bought it at 50K miles and have put on about 25K.
I love just about everything about it with a few exceptions which have lately caused me to consider selling and buying a used Winnebago Revel. I will have a little $$ coming soon, but the more I look around for a decent used Revel, the more I realize it is out of my price range. So I think I will keep Ole Faithful and pep her up just a little.
Dream list:
- onboard generator (want to run AC off shore power)
- ability to shower inside, hot water would be great
- diesel heater (or heater without engine running and shore power)
- upgrade the cushioning for the bench seats/bedding.
- Lengthen by a few inches the passenger side bed
- replace fiberglass running boards with something more foot-friendly and tougher
- spiffy paint and/or wrap to give it some personality
So I joined this forum to get ideas and to see what others have done with their Sportsmobiles.
Cheers!
