Hello,

I crawled under our new to us 2000 Ford E350 Sportsmobile and had some questions about what I found.

This is under the drivers side rear of the van starting about 3/4 of the way back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried to search but didn’t find anything.

Thanks All!

Photo 3 of 5 could be the EVAP canister for emissions - 1 of 5 could also be related to same - emissions -

Evap canister, looks to be relocated when SMB added whatever tank/box that is.....which is leaking.

What's leaking?

That box is an empty under floor storage box that is lined with (wet) carpet. I will so some more investigating today. Thanks for catching that, I was too busy looking at the wire hanger artwork to notice the wetness on that storage box

I'd pull the carpet for sure. If the water is coming from road spray when driving in the rain you might not need to go too deep fixing it depending on what you store under there.

I would definitely want to know how moisture is getting in though.

:b5:

I think I would also redo the gray tape wrapped around the wire loom stuff - not sure what "electrical" it goes to - but new wire loom and taping seems prudent. I'd also consider using stainless steel clamping/wiring in place of galvanized wiring - gotta be a lot of rattling goin' on - but its' your budget not mine -

The bigger plastic thing looks like evap related. Is the other smaller box metal with conduit or is that plastic? If wiring there could have been a generator or something electrical that was removed at some Point.

That might be the left over 110v junction box like I have on my van. Hard to tell by the photos…if so that could have been routed to a transfer switched and/or inverter in the van.
