Hi, i'm Francisco, from Chile, 34 years old, married and with 2 little girls.
We love camping but with the little girls we took a pause (the youngest is 4 months old and the oldest 2 year)

My mom and dad are camping fans, we have had many rv's over the years and traveled all over Chile many times, one of those rv, a 1989 VW kombi, Brazilian made and equipped in Chile.

We redid the interior ourselves, we really loved that vehicle and the west's interior is the best for us except for the lack of a bathroom.

I have also build a couple of campers for my dad and myself, so i have some experience in the DIY department:

I currently own a travel lite 700 camper, my 2014 silverado was a total lost after last years tsunami here in Coquimbo.
So i started looking for something to replace it.
Here in Chile it`s hard to get big american made vans, so when i saw the listing for a 2013 E250 Quigley 4x4 5.4 cargo van with only 380 miles on it i had to see it, i couldn't believe the low miles, but after a close inspection under the van i realized it was real.
Pull the trigger and now i own this:

I have a set of 275/70r18 cooper s/t maxxx that i rescued from the floating silverado that i think would fit well with black rims

Our idea is the build the van during 2017 to start using it on 2018
We would really love to do a westy's interior layout, since the van is an extended body we think we can fit a porta potty or cassette in a small enclosed room (more like a big closet) at the back, just for rainy nights, emergency's and for my girls!!! we would have to go over the bed to get to it or go from the outside.

The current ruff plan is:
West's layout.
Pop top.
Swivel seats.
Sportsmobile type windows (were can i get them?)
Water tank on the spare tire location, as big as it can be.
Gasoline powered waco or eberspacher hydronic.
Outside shower.
Waeco coolmatic CRX80
Portable cooktop.
3 125w solar panels (21amp in total) with a 20 amp controller, would that be ok? i already have those, don`t want to get another controller. battery capacity: open to suggestions.
Awning.

I would be cool if i could turn the rear par of the bed in to a back facing bench with seat belts and a side window so i could set 7 people for short travels.

We want to take a couple of month to get suggestions on the layout for our needs , 2 adults, 2 small kids and some sort of bathroom.

We are open to all suggestions since we are new to the van world and more used to camper's

Thanks and best regards from Chile!!!!

Wow thats a beautiful van!

Welcome to the forum, a lot of the guys on here have done some amazing stuff with their interiors and I am sure they would love to help you out.

I am looking forward to seeing the route you go.

Welcome to the group. The van looks great.

Let's see, we now have members in North And South America, Europe, and Australia. Just need to get people in Asia, India, Greenland, Africa and Antarctica to cover the world.

Welcome! I'm also just starting my build "hoonivan" so I look forward to following your thread for build ideas and such.

Welcome. You live a in a beautiful part of the world, a great place for a 4x4 camping van!
