Hi everyone, I’m looking to replace my hot side hard plumbing and boots from the turbo to the CAC. Looks like Ford plumbing is discontinued. Checked with Sinister, Thoroughbred, Rudy’s Diesel, but no luck. Couldn’t get any info if interchangeable with F350 parts etc.. my hardpipe is probably okay, it just looks like hell from previous work. Love to hear that something is availabe from the after market world. Any info would be sincerely appreciated, ‘04 E350 6.0 Please and Thanks!

I have an 04 6.0. The hard parts are not compatible with the pickup. The boots might be, but boot sizes changed on the pickup depending upon year.

Are you just doing this for aesthetics? Salvage yard might be a viable option, if they will sell the pipes separate from the engine. I can hardley see any of the pipes once everything is together.

One other thing to consider is a EGR 'butterfly' delete on the 6.0. I believe it was an 04 only thing and resulted in a few no power situations.

I did this and didn't have any runnability issues or check engine light. I did get a couple soft codes related to it that do not turn on the light.

I had to buy a "new" hot side pipe from the local wrecking yard - mine had all the mounts cracked, including the U shaped piece that goes over the top of the alternator. If cars could talk..... They were available from Ford but over $200. $10 was a lot better.

Thanks for the feedback, all the aluminum foil looking heat shield is beat to heck. Almost looks beat on. I’m thinking I’ll take the old shield material off and see it the hard pipe is okay and rewrap with header wrap. I’ll check if one material is better than the other. Butterfly delete looks good, Thanks for the info!

Good find, I will definitely peel that foil off and inspect for cracks!! I’m not close to a decent auto wrecker, I’ll be in Boise soon, will check out their yards. I’m surprised that E parts are getting hard to find.

Removing the foil and polishing the tube is popular in the pickup world.
I think heat wrap would be a better option.

I peeled off the foil and rattlecanned it blue because why not. Held up real good. The insulation is for noise not heat, I didn't notice any difference at all other than the pipe is a little smaller and less crusty lookin.
