I noticed it has been deleted from many posts, including those of a couple of folks from iceland talking about an actual [deleted] eruption... :a4:

When you come in to sell and don't read the eula about vendors, and then are evasive with me about being a vendor, after posting product links, continuing the deception- until I dangle the possibility of a group buy in the third email- then yeah, your product becomes a dirty word.

It's a shame, we have users who like this product, and frankly I'm in need of a grill/pit like this myself, but I just cannot stand when people come here and try to covertly sell when all they have to do is ask for a vendor tag.

So yeah, blanket moratorium on the word but I encourage discussion. You're more than welcome to buy their product, defend their tactics or decry my solution.

The guy hasn't been back, despite claiming a genuine interest in SMBs. He did however bother to point out that our business was insignificant to his company ("The measley 27 hits that our site has gotten from your forum took me about three pages to find.") He's not unwelcome, part of why I'm not mentioning his username, but there won't be any surreptitious plugging of Volcano grills either.
