Lake McConaughy- Nebraska

Anyone ever taken their SMB to Lake McConaughy outside of Ogallala, NE? We're looking to go this weekend and will be camping on the beach since we got shut out of a campground with our friends who were clever enough to reserve months ago.

Slightly worried about how the van will handle the "sugar sand" (as described as a local) but I have an external air compressor if we need to air down/air up.

I haven't taken my SMB but I've been there a few times and I don't see a problem taking your SMB in the sand. I've seen numerous 4x4 trucks pulling 5th wheels with boats attached through the sand and down to the shore....of course to be on the safe side it never hurts to air down.
