Let's get a Meet and Greet together.

Hello Everyone.

It has been awhile since I've been to a meet and greet. We have had some great ones in the past. The last one I hosted was in Jackson Hole Wy. it sure was a lot of fun. The one before that was at "The Valley of Fire".

Such a great way for us to meet each other and talk about vans.

I am located in Port Angeles Wa. 60 miles west of Seattle, and am happy to host and set it up. I am also open to travel almost anywhere.

Let get this started.
I would love to reconnect with those of you I have meet in the past as well as meet new people.

Awesome idea, Ron! I'm located in Santa Rosa, but I'm sure a few of us would happily drive up to Port Angeles (drive slow through Quilcene, the state troopers are the worst). When are you thinking timing wise? We need to get our engine back up and running

No Set time, yet spring or summer of course, Once we get a few people lined up we can see what works out for the majority.

I'm in Portland and love this idea. Let me know if you need help brainstorming. I've done a few 10 plus day offload motorcycle trips around Oregon and have some good spots.

I know a couple of nice spots east of Bend in the Deschutes National Forest. Let me know if you want locations. Would love to see everyone. Anytime except the first two weeks in August works for us.

I too really like the Bend Or. area. I haven't done much exploring over there yet but it sounds like Larrie has. I vote for some time in June..

So far I am filling up most of my vacation days for the year with other trips but the closer to Bend the more likely I'll be able to at least swing by for a bit.

The place I have in mind is close to Derick Cave, Hole in the Ground, Fort Rock and Christmas Valley. All are easy day trips.

The first Meet and Greet we attended was when Mac organized the Valley of Fire. Very windy at night but very fun! The month of June looks good for us, and as an added benefit for me I have an old friend in Keizer OR who really needs visiting. BTW, the Adventure Van Expo in Hood River is scheduled for June 17th & 18th, not a big draw for me but it might be an added plus for some if the scheduling worked such that they could attend both.

The Northwest Overland Rally in Plane WA is June 15-18. I suggest the following weekend for the meet and greet.

We are heading for Alaska this summer and a NW meet and greet would be great in mid June. We are planning to attend the Northwest Overland Rally in Plain WA on June 16-18. Would this venue be a viable option for the Meet and Greet?

Was really bummed we couldn’t make it to the Teton meet. Those obligations that kept us from that meet no longer exist and the bend area in June is actually realistic for us. We would love to attend if we can. Will keep an eye on this thread. Great idea Ron!

Great I say we make a plan from for the 23rd-26th of June. Larrie would you give me a call and fill me in on the camp spots you know of and I will set it up. I don't know this area at all so any help would be great. Im thinking a group site with hookups would be cool. Although I feel a little wimpy saying that, it's just nice.

The Valley of Fire was a great time, Mac is such a great guy. Last time I spoke to him he was selling his SMB. that was many yrs ago. Anyone hear from him?
