MG Metal Works DIY kit knowledge share

Anyone have any of the MG Metalworks documentation for installing the caster correction kit? I bought a 2nd hand kit with no instructions.

Yes. I sent you a PM with my email. Might take me a few days, as I'm hitting the road this morning in the van for a 1200 mile, one way trip.

Anyone have trouble with the track bar bolt size? The MG kit seems to use the 24mm bolt that goes the frame but my trackbar uses the 30mm. Do I drill it out?

Please disregard my previous post. Someone powder coated the brackets I have and the guy who made this kit is a real engineer and super precise. I guess I am just use to stuff that comes from China. Just had to clean the powder coating off.

If anyone wants a good laugh. This is me installing

Will anyone with the MG kit with a 5.4 take a pic of the T-case to the gas tank? I put on a new bracket on the tank and did my best to move the tank back as far as I can get it. It's better but not sure how ideal it is still. Been battling this for awhile now. So long I forgot about it. The cut in the shield was done during the conversion in NC. Recent before and after pic. Thanks!

I can get you a pic of mine, but I did have to cut my tank.

Mine rubs the transfer case. I plan to cut the rear cross member at the rear of the tank and move tank back even farther.

I was more interested in what I have been told is they offered a sliding door extension arm for the Ford F series that was longer than the one that Weldtec Designs has. The weldtec I do not believe will clear 12.5" wide rubber on 17x9 rims with a late model super duty rear end... Trying to find one that kicks the door out wider to make the clearance...

attached are the DIY instructions for slider door hinge fabrication. if you need more than this, you may consider cutting a wedge out of the bottom of the door. Somewhere around here are some posts about that.

Given you're not making 4x4 kits anymore, would you be willing to sell the plans/cad models?

This is a much more nuanced topic than it may seem... The short answer is that I'm not willing to sell the design or CAD models.

Too much risk to not get an attorney involved and not enough financial incentive to make me want to seek the advice of an attorney.

I am an about 2/3 through my conversion, and I have a question. The ABS light is on in the van, do I just need to switch the wires at the ABS block in the fender?

Almost forgot, it is a 2019 E350 and a 2006 F350 dually front axle

On my install, the connector for the F250 axle ABS sensor wasn't the same as the connector for the E250, so I spliced a new ABS sensor with the old one in order to plug it in.

I have a spare kit left over from when I stopped building vans. I have been holding onto it in case I ran into a cool cutaway based van that I liked better than my RB but I really should sell the kit to someone who wants to put it to use now instead of hoarding it.

My rig is a 2005 with a 2005 front axle from an E350 super duty. I replaced the ABS sensors with sensors from a 2003 4x4 and it works great.
