New member in PDX

Hi. Just bought an 08 E-350 Quigley conversion from the Midwest and am eagerly awaiting it to be transported out here to Portland so I can dig into it!

Question #1 - it’s not a Sportsmobile technically, no pop up, just a Diesel Quigley plus a lot of Aluminess it looks like, and I’m DIY-ing the interior. Still ok to be friends with me anyway?

I wish I could recommend someone good but unfortunately the whole industry seems to be run on a pretty slow/old school system. For what it's worth I used You ship it: https://www.you-ship-it.com, a broker, and they found a good transporter, but it took a lot longer than they quoted and they were pretty unresponsive and just unfriendly, overall. I got a pretty good response from Ironclad Auto Transport if you want to try them.

Bellpilot, If its running, and capable of making the trip to your location then you may consider creating a new Thread with a simple title stating what you need - several Members here have transported a number of Sportsmobiles for other members (with nothing but praise from the owners).

Welcome! I think the Sportsmobile folks are a pretty friendly lot. I have an E350 with SMB top, U-Joint 4WD, and AT Overland interior. I was just talking to Alan Feld at the Adventure Van Expo and I corrected myself for calling my rig a Sportsmobile he just shrugged it off as being all good!

I have had my van for a year and live near Stark and 148th. Hit me up once you have your van. We’ll throw back a couple pints or I can lead you out to Badger Lake for some fun and then some pints!

Hey there! I just joined and live in Tigard! I got my 2005 E350 two months ago in Sherwood. Love it. To the topic, years ago we were moving from L.A. (I’m a native Oregonian - just lived down there for 4 years) to Indy and had DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers) out of LA do the move on 2 vehicles. They go everywhere. And really reasonable too.
