New start batteries but van no electrical power

Glad you got it sorted. In addition to what others have said about those cables - they are smoked - a few other points to ponder...
-The alternators in these vans are OK at best with the load of the 6.0 - add the rest of the van geegaws and they are on full tilt boogie all the time. A nice 225-275 amp alternator is a yuuuuge improvement over stock.
-When you install the new alternator, do the "Big 3" wiring upgrade that the truck boys do. Basically run from the alternator to the batteries, batteries to frame, engine to frame, and batteries to each other with a heckin chonkers of a wire.

With a happy alternator, the Big 3 wiring upgrade done, and some fresh Odyssey AGMs, my big dumb 6.0 van started Springtime Fresh in 0 degree weather last weekend in northern Wisconsin. Made me pretty happy. Even surprised my lovely wife with how quick it popped off.

Changed the cables, terminals, and conduit. 13mm tilt head ratcheting wrench from harbor freight makes quick work of the battery tray bolts. A must have in the van imho.

Can’t thank smb forum members enough for the assist.
