Hello all I am new to forum, about to buy a 2003 Ford E350 7.3 with a Quigley 4x4 conversion from my employer, it has 170k but is in great shape. I know that this combo is very rare that being said what would one expect to pay for such a van, and what value would it have.

Do you have any pictures? What type of interior does it have? Has it been maintained in a fleet maintenance program? A 7.3 Quigley is a nice choice. As long as the body is in good shape I wouldn't let the 170K on the clock bother you.

Gnarvan

The van is a 1 owner, locally maintained van sorry no pics but runs and drives well. I have been waiting for this van to be for sale for some time, it has SUPER CHATEAU package I am planning to make this my first van camper, hoping to pay 10k. The inside of the van has some basic wear and tear but for a 170k it has held up well.

Thanks
JR

7.3/Quigley is not rare, 7.3/SMB4x4 is rare.

Not that you shouldn't buy it, just don't want you to think you're getting a rare bird!

What was the van used for? What kind of miles are the 170k? Highway miles? Towing a heavy trailer miles? City miles? Cargo van hauling paint? Passenger hauling miles?

I would think somewhere between 10-15k would be reasonable. But it really depends on how the van was treated. Was it worked hard and put away wet?

Well all, I have just pulled the trigger at ONLY $7,250 OTD!! I am very happy, I didn't wont to lose this rig and I figured it was a steal. Thanks for the help and I will be posting updates on the build.

Thanks
JR

Thats a great deal for any 4x4 van thats less than 20 years old...

From the pictures it looks good and it should be a great starting point for whatever you want to do to it.

Congrats and welcome to the SMB forum (aka van modification addiction group) ...

Do you have any before the mods start interior pictures you can share with us? I'm wondering if your new rig is set up in Club Wagon passenger mode?

WOW!! Well fellas my employer backed out :a7: I was going to drive home today in my new van, I had cash in hand when the owners wife took me into her office and told me that they decided to keep the quigley and sell a none 4wd van instead!! Thanks for all the help and Im sorry to waste your time...I guess TGTBT! :c1:

:a7: Well don't that just knock yer hat in the creek!

There are more of 'em out there, so git to lookin'. Maybe Mr and MS employers will lose a little bit of sleep, but you shouldn't. Keep us up to date on the search.

twogone,

Thanks in fact I'm looking online now...thinking maybe I should just buy a smb. I need a 4wd with my lifestyle, but it being my 1st venture not sure if I'm (my wife) ready to dish out 40k+.
