Before I go get a dozen gray color chips from Sherwin-Williams, has anyone found a good paint match to the OEM SMB gray-faced cabinet color? If so, please share the brand/color code. I want to touch up my cabinets in a few places. Thanks!

Hey Brian -- I know it's Dove Gray - can't find my gallon my carpenter bought to fab the under gaucho couch drop down panel - but it was pretty much spot on ! It also has a robust surface that minimizes scratches and wipes off black marks, etc., with one of those Magic Erasers. I'll look for it again tomorrow in my "bombed out" garage !? Can't remember the manufacturor ?

Brian, I'm not sure but I usually take the color to them. Pull a cabinet door or drawer and take it to Home Depot or wherever and have them match it. Easier than color samples, IMO.

I would, but my doors and drawers are actually the cherry finish. Original owner ordered it that way. So I don't have anything removable to take with me, which is why I asked. In the attached pic you can see one of things I want to paint: a piece covering the hole where the old CO2 detector was (replaced with a battery-powered model as shown). I'll probably just drive the van over and run in and out with paint chips to compare. :)

Not to derail my own thread, but I'm curious about this "drop down panel." Do you have pics and an explanation? Or did I miss it on the forum somewhere? Thanks!

Brian -- my van - 2002 - with gaucho - under the bed WAS a full length drop down piano hinged panel hiding the water tank, electrical for StarCool, etc. Somewhere in the past someone dad it "down" and must have stepped on it or "kneed it" and pulled the hinged off that "wonderful" MDF board. So - I had a local carpenter get some 5/8 birch 4x8 - I got the "t" molding Amazon - and with large magnets attached - versus piano hinge - it now is safely attached under couch and I can remove entire panel and put in garage while I tinker - or set it up on bed, etc., out of the way. No rattling at all. He painted it with that dove gray paint and Voila ! I'll take photos and see if I can attach on Forum - which we all know can be a challenge - for all of us "challenged !" Stay tuned !

Ah, interesting! Neither of my vans had a drop-down panel there, although it sounds like it would be easier than always lifting the cushion of the gaucho up to access under there.
