NAW4 ECUs will swap plug n play with any other Powerstroke ECUs of similar era. TDE0s and TDE1s tow a little better. Some tuners do not play nice with the NAW4 ECUs. Truck and Van ECUs are/should be the same or same enough

On a used PCM there is no guarantee what strategy is loaded into it by the sticker on the case, Ford and Independents could swap update to the later strategies. The later ones change glowplug timing and torque converter lockup in decel.

What troubleshooting steps led to the parts cannon needing an ECU and Injector Module?

Sur un PCM d’occasion, il n’y a aucune garantie de la stratégie qui y est chargée par l’autocollant sur le boîtier, Ford et les indépendants pourraient échanger la mise à jour vers les stratégies ultérieures. Les derniers changent le calage des bougies de préchauffage et le verrouillage du convertisseur de couple en décélération.

Pour répondre à votre question, je n’arrive pas à trouver ma faute, et en France, il n’y a pas de calculatrices ou PCM de rechange, donc je préfère en avoir une de rechange si vous avez vu mon post, la panne vient de l’installation de l’hyndra, ce qui est étrange, c’est que j’ai testé avec un autre PCM et une autre calculatrice de 97 et rien de plus OFLMAO :

So if I am understanding you correctly:

Vehicle ran.
Vehicle had Hydra installed
Vehicle ceased to run
Hydra removed, vehicle no longer runs.
Swapping PCM, vehicle still no longer runs.

With the original PCM, does the "wait to start" light come on when the ignition is turned on?
With the swapped PCM that never had a Hydra installed, does the "wait to start" light come on when the ignition is turned on?

Its extremely unlikely a Hydra tuner burned up your PCM, it just overrides the data bus through the diagnostic/programming conector. I suppose it could have corrupted the original PCM programming (somehow, extremely unlikely) which would lead to the original PCM not working, but the 2nd PCM would not be subject to this issue, any damage the Hydra would have done would be contained to the PCM.

All the fuses are good? Not just have continuity, but pass power? How about the diode? The PCM needs to see all the power inputs to do its thing.

I once had a no start with my 7.3 van. I bought two pcms, many other parts but still nothing. Someone told me to unplug all the sensors and see if it starts. If it does, start plugging in sensors until it dies. Worked for me. Probably nothing to do with your van but That is what happened to mine. Why does some of the text come across in French and some in English? Really nice job on the van!

Vincent (Pimpon) lives in France, consequently the communication back n forth is either in English or French…so both sides are using Translation App’s to communicate.
Not many people in France are familiar with the Ford, so his resources are extremely limited. Fortunately he has found this Forum a good resource, and the members here understand his predicament and are always eagerly willing to help out.

On m’a dit qu’il y avait aussi une modification à faire pour convertir un fourgon à 2 roues en 4x4. Je viens de voir sur l’ex-Quigley j’ai un fil qui sort de la prise de l’ordinateur et qui va à la connexion de transfert avec une connexion sous le volant ? Avez-vous des informations ?

There would be no powertrain changes needed other than the indicator lights that the transfer case is in 4x4 mode. This would be an optional indicator and would not affect how the engine starts and runs.

-Illuminates, turns off within 60 seconds
-Does not illuminate

OK next thing you will need a scan tool or some other means of reading live data for because I am assuming you don't have a tachometer in the gauge cluster. Because van things.

When cranking the engine, does the scan tool report RPM?
