Rental camper review - VW California Ocean

We love camping in our SMB, so when we decided to tour the Spanish Pyrenees we thought renting a campervan would be fun. And it was! We rented a nearly new van from Indie Campers near Barcelona and traveled through the Pyrenees and Costa Brava coast for 8 days and had a great time. The van was easy to rent, easy to drive, and staying in established campgrounds was only a little challenging due to many of them having already closed for the season. Years ago, before we bought our own SMB, we rented one in Las Vegas and traveled through Death Valley. We made a video review of that rental van and with 400+ views it appeared to be well received here on the forum. So we thought you might like to see our Spanish rental van, a VW California Ocean. Very cool. It blows my mind that as big as #vanlife :m7: has gotten that VW hasn't taken the opportunity to import and sell these here.

I don't suppose they've notived that people will pay $40k for a 40 year old Vanagon Westy and there aren't enough to satisfy demand?

Isn't the Mercedes Metris about the same size? Just RWD instead of FWD. That or a low roof Sprinter 144.
