Running board end cap replacement

Hi all I lost one of my running board end caps of the rear passenger side on my ATS Design running board. If any one knows how to contact ATS Design or order a replacement I would really appreciate any help. The pictures posted show the missing end cap and what it looks like on the drivers side

I was going to offer to split a set untilI saw the price. I made a template so I can machine a few from black Delrin in my shop.

Exactly what I was thinking. I got not need one so I’m not paying for a set of four and I do t want to be in the resale running board end cap business. If you can really duplicate one then here’s my private email let’s work it out together so we both make out.

I'm searching for two of these caps. The e-bay link posted above is dead. So far the search has been frustrating. I haven't started combing junkyards yet... Needle in a haystack...

There are several threads here lamenting the lack of good replacement boards for our rigs. Options which include I - Beam construction, rubber top etc like the ATS boards are practically nonexistent. If anyone knows where I can find the caps, or has thoughts about how something could be fabricated to replace them it would be great.

I was searching about 2 months ago and came up empty handed also. Was wondering if someone with a 3D printer could make them??? They really only have to look good to be functional as a replacement cap. Haven’t started looking into that idea, but at that time it was the only alternative I could come up with.

I know nothing about plastic fabrication...Probably I'll have four caps fabricated if I can't locate 2 replacements. So long as they all match they could be a steel or aluminum cap.

In my case they are part of an insurance claim. Currently battling the insurance company who want to give me $375 for new boards even though they cost $720 on the build invoice in 2010... Would have no problem living with the slight dent and scuff on the board but the missing caps are ugly.

Well in that case you ain’t getting no end cap! I have an extra one that I don’t need since I don’t own that van anymore and no I won’t sell or give it to you. Don’t ask next time if you don’t want people to reply with where they found replacement parts.

Thanks JDKH! Yes, Joe (auto elegance) can get the caps from the manufacturer who no longer produces ATS boards for the retail market but still produces them for OEM applications.

They come in pairs - one left side and one right. I had to buy two sets since I am missing both caps from one side. They are $45 a pair plus shipping.

FWIW: Joe can still source these running board ends - just bought a set from him. I believe he still has access to a couple sets but are becoming scarce...I wasn't able to locate any anywhere after an extensive search, so if interested I'd suggest reaching out soon. Current Price is now $60 + $15 shipping.

Follow up; Received the Endcaps today which I ordered through Joe about 2 weeks ago - and Yes, I can confirm they are the correct size & shape for these running boards (relieved since I'll admit I had a little concern after ordering).
