I bought this 1998 Sportsmobile RB50 and there are a holy **** a lot of cut wires, not sure what the **** the previous owner did, most of them are in the back passenger area. My questions are -

1. how can I figure out what they do/did

(( see image ))
2. Specifically the front cabin lights are not working, wondering if they are cut. Any diagrams of standard Sportsmobile conversation wiring? I found the wires to it and traced them a bit and they seem connected.

I would love to get these working. Thanks!

Is there something besides the front cabin light that isn't working?

Are you 100% certain the bulbs aren't burned out?

All kinds of cut wires, not sure what the **** the PO was doing, currently the bulbs are new and not lighting up. I am curious if there is way to test if there is power going to the lights ---

This a 2006 wiring diagram (probably didn’t change much over the years):

I don’t believe it will help your issue since I don’t believe the cabin lights you identified were included in any of SMB’s build process, but throwing it out there anyway.

I’ll add; I had a similar issue (way back when) with my interior lights (ceiling and others) and found the solution to be a blown fuse - with help from the group here, I located the fuse in a very unsuspecting location (outlined in the thread linked below). If your light(s) were installed by SMW it is possible they are connected to the same fuse.

I believe that those lights are wired into the Ford Electrical Circuits and not the SMB part of the build. SMB probably extended the wires a bit, but other than that somewhat stock ford.

In my 1998 the cab lights only work if I have the headlight knob turned all the way to the left until it clicks. Took me a year to figure that out.
Hope this helps! R

My 1998 Indiana build SMB had all sorts of weird wiring in the cab area. Good luck!
