No extender is required. This is applicable to both passenger and driver sides.
The two wires come from a harness that runs under the carpet aft of the seats. Cut an X in the carpet just aft of the floor plate and feed the wire up through the X. Run the wire to the inboard side of the swivel drum.
The wires from the seat have a connector that is too large to pass through the smaller hole in the upper swivel plate. You have choices on how to handle this:
1. Disassemble the connector by removing the wire tang retaining clip, pass the two wires through the hole and reassemble and connect.
2. Increase the size of the hole using a step drill until large enough to pass the connector through it.
3. Cutting the wires and spicing in a section to make the wire longer.
I have always disassembled the connector, passed the wires through and reassembled.
The motion to swivel is always towards the engine cover. First, Seat back to straight up, armrest up. Door can be open or closed, works a little better open but by no means necessary. Slide the seat forward part way, pull the swivel handle and rotate the seat towards the engine cover so the front left seat corner brushes the cover. Continue to rotate so all of seat front has cleared the engine cover. Now slide seat “forward” all the way on the slides using the stock seat slide handle at the front of the seat. This will allow the seat back and armrest to clear the B pillar and door panel armrest. Once 180 degrees, you can slide the seat “backwards” on the slides and recline the back. It takes about 5 seconds to do this after a few times.
