Hi all!

Long time listener first time caller. I'm going to check this out tomorrow. I think it's a bit overpriced but curious on others thoughts. It's a bit older so I'm wondering if anyone has any insights on essential questions I should ask.

Thanks

It's 30yrs old, so I'd approach it with the anticipation of having to upgrade some of the older appliances in the near future. Definitely need to test each appliance & systems to make sure they operate as expected. No idea what the previous owners did & how often so plan on purging & sanitizing the entire water system.
Has a propane system, but I'd inspect the tank carefully. It's also recommended to replace all hoses and the regulator after about 10years - if you're unable to confirm this has been addressed It should be one of your first projects (safety first).
The rust around the front windshield and along the rear roof line should be of concern. unless treated properly (which will not be cheap) it will continue to get worse. Also, Inspect the bottom of the quarter panels just behind the rear wheels.
Paint looks like it's in marginal condition (bubbling & peeling).
Look for any water damage from possible leaks throughout the interior.
Careful inspection under/around the Engine, Transmission, Diff;s for fluid leaks.

I'd have a reputable outfit complete a thorough inspection for you, along with someone checking the FE components & engine...conservatively around $500-$600, but may save you a lot more. Only positive I see is that a lot of the older Dodge vans/trucks shared the same parts.

I've only owned one Dodge vehicle in my lifetime; a 1970 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4 and it took everything a fearless teenager threw at it...proudly!

In this case though, IMHO this van certainly would not qualify as in investment...at least not at that price.

Overpriced IMO, and I wouldn't be too keen on the Dodge platform. Dodge-based SMBs always command lower prices than the Fords and are a harder resale in the future if that's a concern.
