Has anyone been to Toroweep in December? Any advice or comments?

I assume there will be the possibility of deep snow but is it passable?

When I look through the old postings all seem to be summer or fall, yet the NPS site said there is a ranger there year around.

I ask because it's certain I'd be nominated to donate myself first to the common cookpot if we started to look like the Donner party.

Thanks.

any first hand info??

maybe someone call/email NPS

I think the best chance for snow is going over Mt. Trumbull. The rest is low enough to warmup and melt any snow.

You can call the Interagency Information Center in St. George at (435) 688-3246 to get more reliable information.
