USB connection and Line In.....

My 2010 SMB has USB plug (I have never used it) and what appears to be stock "Line In" in the dash.

What do you use these for?

Just curious as I have not yet used either.

I got the same in the 2010 Ford van from SMB. The USB port will charge your iPod, laptop, or other MP3 device. At the same time, if you're using an iPod or MP3 device compatible with Microsoft's SYNC sytsem, you will get voice command control over your music and it plays over your stereo system. Check you Ford owners manual for instructions. The line-in is for a jack connection to an iPod or MP3 player should you not have a USB connection on your player to play over the van stereo. I love having this feature and SMB's on-line list of standard items that come with the van does not claim you get it, even though you do now (apparently had to pay for it on pre-2010 vans).
