Looking for the High and Low pressure hard lines that run the refrigerant to the OEM rear A.C. unit. I am not sure what years are interchangeable but we can figure that out. These are for our 2002 van but I think I can use other years as long as the line diameters are the same.

Hopefully somewhere in the San Francisco Bay area.

I also welcome any advise/experience re: repairing these lines using compression style fittings such as the AirSept compression fitting.

Thanks!

Thanks Russ! Yes, saw those as well as another full replacement set. I am hoping to be able to make one compression connection with hardline. We will see.

I had luck finding a shop that works on big rig ACs that made all new lines for me. Maybe someone close to you can do the same?
That’s what I would do. When I removed the starcool I had an AC shop do the repairs to the hoses. It wasn’t expensive and they had all the custom tools. AC stuff is one of the few instances where I “leave it to the professionals”.

I agree re professionals and AC. I will know at the end of the week if my research yields positive results. I have advised a local very good shop and discussed the plan.

I was told over and over that the underbody aluminum replacement lines are not available for the 2002 year. Having our 2014 here to compare to, the lines on the 2002 look to be exactly the same under the van. I have order the hard replacements for both high and low pressure runs with all the correct bends and end fittings. I also ordered the Airsept 76002 and 76012 straight compression fittings which are rated at 2300+psi.

The plan is to cut the existing hard lines back to the very good condition part and splice in the new lines with the Airsept aluminum fittings. This will eliminate the long rubber runs and steel swaged ends that seem to interact with the aluminum.

I will have more info next week 🤞

This would be useful info for the rest of us if it works.

No Russ, Beastie is a Extended Cargo that was spec'd from the factory with the factory OEM rear air/ crew package with a bench seat.

The rear A/C and heater lines are the ones that run down the driver side below the floor - 3 and 4 plus 6 and 7 in the drawing.
