Hello All. I've been lurking here for a bit, but haven't introduced ourselves since we weren't "official".:) We finally returned home last night with our new to us Sportsmobile. It's a 2004 EB with a Quigley conversion. We are very excited to have it, as it will be our house after retirement. We couldn't have designed it better if we'd bought it new. The plus was it's amazing condition. Just finding a fwd high roof with a V10 was a chore. We are currently living in Oklahoma City until we can make our big escape.

A beautiful van.

I would suggest looking into the Agile RIP kit to help with ride and handling.

But that is an absolute monster of a van. Enjoy!

What I find very interesting is the significant number of people who post here about their new-to-them SMB, and no one here noticed (or at least posted) that particular SMB was even for sale.

With all the For Sale SMB's posted here, it's amazing how many fly under the radar.

Congrats! Nice hightop :d8:

Love the shower in the back. I looked for ways to incorporate one but with my layout, it's difficult.

I’m glad it flew under the radar. We didn’t “steal” it, but did get a very good deal. If I had gone through high profile, I’m sure we’d have paid much more. We had been looking hard for a while, and we were prepared to immediately jump on it.

Yep. It's when people find their dream rig, and then arrange their finances, the rig gets bought by someone else. IMO, having the cash available, or the loan pre-approved (much harder), is the single most important factor.

looks very well cared for & I also think that color is cool. Congrats

Passed through your neck of the woods many times on the way to the East Coast. Some great drives through Tennessee & the Smoky Mountains so thought I would throw this out for your consideration:

Thanks for the invite. We live in Oklahoma City, so it seems like all the events for the cool kids are a 14-17 hr drive. We always end up cruising in home at 4am, showering and heading to work an hour later. The 60 year old me doesn’t handle that as well as the 25 year old me did. In a couple more years though, the SMB will be our house, and we won’t be on any schedule!
