What did you do to your SMB today?

Camped in it in some crazy winds on the beach in Bolivar Peninsula. Winds were so high I had to keep the awning in and penthouse roof down. Made for an awful night sleep... Had to dig sand out from around the tires to be able to pull out to come home...

I had a windshield replaced after the star I obtained in North Dakota last spring spread out because of the cold this winter. Put a bug deflector on my hood in the hope of keeping my windshield a little cleaner and maybe batting a few pieces of gravel away.

Here's an easy one that doesn't cost much. Added lighted cruise control buttons, taken from a Ford Excursion in the junk yard. Now I don't have to guess in the dark which button does what.

Vanna got some new shoes today. BFG AT KO3, E-rated. I can’t believe the difference from the old Goodyear MT/R Kevlars. Much quieter and way more stable on the road. I should have done this years ago.

Popped the wiper arms off to repaint them as the black has faded to raw aluminum. The passenger side one did not survive the process. The screw heads for the screws that hold the lever that holds it on fell into aluminum dust. Found one at a wrecking yard on eBay, none local. Have to wait until Tuesday or so to get it delivered. Will paint it and install... New ones for a 93 do NOT appear to exist... Gee thanks.

I bet I can put this back together with some JB weld, but there is a part of me that figths against the urge to redneck this thing back together...

Love the BFGs on my truck. I tried AT KO2s on the van, the KO3 were not yet out. Could not find ones that were truly round. Put the old Michelins back on, went to Walmart and got a set of Venom Power Terra Hunter X/Ts. Not 3 Peak rated like the BFGs, but that doesn't matter in TX. Wish the BFGs would have panned out, these Venom Powers are stable and grippy, but they are a LOT louder than the BFGs I have ever had. Been running ATs on at least one of my rigs since 1992 when I had a set of ATs installed on a 65 VW Westfalia....

Ooh, details please!

Replaced the shower faucet which the PO had obviously left unwinterized. First foray into SMB plumbing and I was impressed. Everything was well put together and solid. Also discovered the reason for the little cutout slot in the box which hides the shower plumbing (right behind the drivers seat): it allows you to reach the shower plumbing drain knobs to winterize the shower.

No that one is fine. This is the interior one. SMB fixed the lines leading to it, but the faucet itself had a hairline crack. If you just turned it on to check it, you wouldn't see it. But if it ran for a minute or two, the water began trickling out.

New headlight lenses after 200,000 miles. They look great and were only $148 from Amazon. Basically just OEM replacement quality, but OK. They didn't include bulbs and I might have popped a little more for the ones with the bulbs, but it wasn't too difficult to just remove the bulbs and plug them into the new lenses.

Probably an easy job for most, but I found this video very helpful. He points out a few things that might not be obvious if you haven't done it before.

Can't seem to post the video link, but if you search YouTube for the following it should pop up.
